Born Nov. 21, 1919 in Owen County, he was the son to Daniel and Goldie (Lemons) Ranard. Harry worked at Rogers in Bloomington and retired after 35 years. He was a member of Newark Pentecostal Church and Operators Engineer Union No. 841 of Terre Haute.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mabel ( Freeman) Ranard; two sons, Lonnie A. Ranard (Anita) of Bloomfield, Tony A. Ranard (Diana) of Solsberry; daughter, Peggy C. Jones of Bloomington; brother Daniel Ranard, of Indiana; two sisters Doris Wells of Fairmont, WV, and Edith Stogsdill of Bloomington; and six grandchildren Marcia Waldrip (J.D.), Marc Ranard (April), T.C. Ranard, Erin Helton (Jeremy), Rachael Crouch (Brant), and Brandon Jones.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Vernon Ranard; brothers, Herbert "Jake" Ranard, Harvey Ranard, and Robert Ranard; sisters Betty Johnson and Wanda Snodderly, and son-in-law Tom Jones.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Raymond New officiating
Burial will be at Gross Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
