Apple Fest Art/Photo Show exhibits a lot of talent

Artwork by Donald Bridges and photography by Ruby Houldson won Best of Show ribbons among all categories in the adult class of the 2007 Apple Festival Art and Photography Show last weekend.

Katelin Kinney won Best of Show among all categories in the High School classes.

The show, a long-standing tradition of the festival, is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene Libraries.

Adult Art Categories

John Musgrave won first place in Animals and Birds. Other winners were Donald Bridges, second place; and Janet McCarter, third place.

Tena Algood won first place in Floral. Donna Kluesner won both second and third places.

Donna Kluesner won first place in Historical. Rachel Wright-Summerton won second place.

Donna Kluesner won first place in Landscape. Other winners were Brenda Doering, second place; and Janet McCarter, third place.

Linda Stanger won first place in Portrait. Other winners were Rachel Wright-Summerton, second place; and Tena Algood, third place.

Brenda Doering won first place in Seascape. Other winners were Rachel Wright-Summerton, second place; and Linda Stanger, third place.

Donald Bridges won both first and second places in Still Life.

Tena Algood won first place in Structure. Other winners were Donna Kluesner, second place; and Jodi Estell, third place.

Janet McCarter won first place in Miscellaneous. Other winners were Todd Price, second place; and Brenda Doering, third place.

Adult Photography Categories

Carol Kiser won first place in Animals, Birds and Butterflies. Other winners were Luanne Walker, second place; and Bob Kiser, third place.

Ruby Houldson won first place in Floral.

Other winners were Linda Long, second place; and Jackie Hutchison, third place.

Jude Pearson won first place in Historical. Other winners were Jackie Hutchison, second place; and Linda Long, third place.

Carol Kiser won first place in Landscape. Other winners were Bob Kiser, second place; and Linda Long, third place.

Brenda Combs won first place in Portrait. Other winners were Jackie Hutchison, second place; and Amber St. John, third place.

Ruby Houldson won first place in Seascape. Other winners were Kayla Hendrix, second place; and Amber St. John, third place.

Katelin Kinney won first place in Structure. Other winners were Daniel Abel, second place; and Jude Pearson, third place.

Shannon Yeager won first place in Miscellaneous. Other winners were Amber St. John, second place; and Garrett Beatty, third place.

Grade School and Junior High Categories

Jarrett Long won Best of Show in the Kindergarten class. Winners in Color were Annika Fuller, first place; J. C. Lewis, second place; Cloey Reed, third place; and Briannah Andis, fourth place.

Hannah Calkins won Best of Show in the First Grade class. Winners in Color were Gage Baker, first place; Dawson Kinser, second place; Levi Sciscoe, third place; and Brook Potts, fourth place.

Reese Whaley won Best of Show in the Second Grade class. Winners in Color were Mason Riley, first place; Gracie Hollars, second place; Riley Harper, third place; and Anissa Horn, fourth place.

Dylan Fuller won Best of Show in the Third Grade class. Winners in Color were Makayla King, first place; Tristin Jones, second place; Andrew Fuller, third place; and Gracie Rollins, fourth place.

Wyatt Long won Best of Show in the Fourth Grade class. Winners in Color were Kelsey Anderson, first place; Mason Hazel, second place; and Wyatt Long in third place. Winners in Black & White were Kelsey Anderson, first place; Brandon Hill, second place; Brandon Mitchell, third place; and Jobe Gilliatt, fourth place.

Morgan Young won Best of Show in the Fifth Grade class. Winners in Color were Libby Tarr, first place; and Christopher Derouin, second place. Winners in Black & White were Maddy Hudson, first place; Laura Long, second place; Erin Bigelow, third place; and Dakota Sims, fourth place.

Morgan New won Best of Show in the Sixth Grade class. Winners in Color were Watt Bruner, first place; Tori Milhoan, second place; Brittany Martin, third place; and Rudy Carrol, fourth place.

Hannah Alexander won Best of Show in the Junior High class. Winners in Color were Michelle Holz, first place; Lewis Nugent, second place; Kristin Brown, third place; and Mykaela Picket, fourth place.

Winners in Black & White were Emilee Jo Wesner, first place; and Ashley Klein, second place.

High School Categories

Cassie Wells won first place in Animals, Birds and Butterflies. Other winners were Katie Doades, second place; Tyler McDonald, third place; and Zachariah Mitchell, fourth place.

Miranda Mervyn won first place in Floral. Other winners were Austin Lengacher, second place; Sandy Bland, third place; and Alisha Byrer, fourth place.

Emily Miller won first place in Historical. Nathan Winklepleck won second place.

Molli Wise won first place in Landscape. Other winners were Katie Doades, second place; Charissa Gutierrez, third place; and Robert Graves, fourth place.

Robert Baxley won first place in Portrait. Other winners were Rachel Rush, second place; Cassie Wells, third place; and Katie Doades, fourth place.

Brittany Saucerman won first place in Seascape. Larry Webster won second place.

Katelin Kinney won first place in Sketching. Other winners were Rachel Rush, second place; Steven Shake, third place; and Dustin Bailey, fourth place.

Andrew Watson won first place in Structure. Other winners were Erin Williams, second place; and Terry Bland, third place.
