Violet Irene Targett, 92, of Dearborn, MI and formerly of Linton, passed away on Oct. 6, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia, MI.

She was born in Linton on Sept. 9, 1915, the daughter of William and Maggie (Shonk) Higar. She is survived by a son, Lindy Henson, and wife, Carol, of Westland, MI; a grandson, Scott and wife, Christine; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Alexander; and a sister, Rhea Edmondson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Targett, April 20, 2002.

Funeral services will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, Linton Chapel at 10 am.Thursday. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
