Joetta J. Adams, 86, of Decatur, passed away at her residence on Friday evening, October 5, 2007.

Joetta was born on June 25, 1921 in Linton, to the late William L. & Lurca (Story) Jackson. She married A.M. "Mike" Adams on May 3, 1941, he is deceased.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

She worked for C.T.S. in Berne for 14 years retiring in 1976 and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include: two sons Michael W. Adams of Fort Wayne, Dennis J. Adams of Decatur; a daughter Margrette J. Miller of Decatur; a sister Mrs. Michael (Willeta) Ellis of Bloomington; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by a brother and a grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home in Decatur. Friends will be received after the service at the funeral home. Father Benedict Kakwezi will be officiating.

Graveside rites will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Memorials are requested to St. Joseph School in Decatur.
