Florence Josephine Chinn, 94, of Linton and formerly of Owensburg, passed away 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at Glenburn Home in Linton.

Born Nov. 1, 1914 in Gentryville, she was the daughter of William and Nevilla (Miller) Walter.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield. She was a member of the Bunco Club and Delta Theta Tau.

Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Bettye Jo Ferguson of Bloomfield; one son, Robert Thomas Chinn of Seymour; 16 grandchildren and several great and great-great, grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Chinn in 1977; five sons, William Harvey, George Jr., Charles Edward, Wayne Anthony, John Allen; and her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield, with Rev. Paul A. Ferguson officiating. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. E.T. at Sunset Hill cemetery in Rockport.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
