Jack L. Wampler, 59, of Toledo,OH passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, in Heartland of Holly Glen Care Center.

He was born on February 8, 1948, in Linton, to George and Mary (Birdsall) Wampler.

A U.S. Army Veteran, he served with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam from 1968 -- 1970. He was employed by General Motors for 30 years before retiring July 1, 2000. He was Past Master of Sylvania Pyramid Lodge F & AM, was also a 32nd degree Mason, and served on the board for the Rainbow Girls.

He is survived by his wife, Mitzi; mother, Mary Wampler; children, Jack Lee (Nicole), Timothy, Greg and Gary Wampler; step-children, Michelle (Tim) Woelfl, Stephen (Jenny) Baker, Amanda Baker; grandchildren, Carissa Wampler, Alicia Kusian, Alexis Stough, Samantha & Stephen Baker, J.J. and Trinity Davis and Brooke and Brittany LeGare; and sister, Beverly (Doug) Becker.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home in Toledo, Ohio, (419) 841-2422, on Friday from 2-9 p.m. with Pyramid Lodge conducting Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial Sunday in Worthington Cemetery,
