David "Dave" Charles Arnold

David "Dave" Charles Arnold, 70, of Coalmont, passed away at 1:03 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.

Born March 14, 1937 in Marion County, he is the son of Earl and Dorthea (Rau) Arnold.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he served as an environmental engineer at MMS-A/E. He was a 32nd degree Mason at the William Penn Lodge and Scotish Rite of Terre Haute.

Survivors include: his wife, Dixie (Kelly) Arnold of Coalmont, whom he married on May 4, 1986; daughter and son-in-law, Debra Arnold Barnes (Bert) of Bridgeton; son and daughter-in-law, Steve Arnold (Rebecca) of Terre Haute; step-children Lisa and Rod Hudson of Carmel, Lori and Damiam Mason of Huntington, Jason and Cameron Norton of Corydon; brother and sister-in-law Michael Arnold (Sarah) of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Justin McCammon, Katherine Bakrevski, Nancy Barnes, Bryce Barnes, Graham Arnold, Aaron Arnold, Samuel Arnold and Breaghnan Arnold; a great grandson, James Bakrevski; step-grandchildren Ale and Joe Hudson and Evan Norton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an uncle, Lawrence Hamilton and an aunt, Francis Hamilton.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. A gathering will be held at noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
