Born Nov. 23, 1921 near Hendricksville, he was the son of James and May 'Mommy May' (Eller) Hudson.
A farmer by trade, he drove a school bus for 32 years and had the Hudson Insurance Agency for 26 years. He attended Union Church in Hendricksville.
Surivivors include: his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Abram) Hudson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bill Scweer, Peggy and Larry Burks and Sherry and Ronnie Martin, all of Solsberry; eight grandchildren, Scott Uland, Sharla Bruce, Jeff Burks, Brent Burks, Brad Burks, Julie Beth Thomas, Greg Martin, Grant Martin; 15 great-grandchildren, Ashley Bruner, Zachary Wyatt Bruner, Sophia Uland, Megan Bruce, Keller Burks, Curtis Burks, Kyle Burks, Chris Burks, Natalie Burks, Jama Martin, Jena Martin, Blake Martin, Brody Martin, Brittany Martin; one brother, Norman Hudson of Lenexa, KA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Denver Hudson, Clayton Hudson, Gilbert Hudson, Lawrence Hudson and Carl Hudson; three sisters, Louise Hudson, Lucille Lacy, and Velma Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington with Revs. Chester Hacker and Don Dwyer officiating. Burial will be in Solsberry Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
