PITTSBORO, N.C. ---- Joseph A. Baird, 57, of Pittsboro, N.C., passed away at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003 at Central Carolina Hospital.

Born Dec. 28, 1945 in Chicago, ILL, he was the son of Paul Edgar and Doris Jane (Baird) Mills.

He was a plumber.

Survivors include one son, Jason Baird of Bloomington; one brother, Jerry Mills of Bloomingdale, and one sister, Dixie House of Linton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edgar and Doris Jane (Baird) Mills, and one brother, Dale Mills.

There will be no funeral service or visitation.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at 11 a.m. on Monday.
