Born April 3, 1931 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Russell and Ruby (Ridge) Wilson.
He was retired from The Adcor Drilling Co., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include, one son, Charles Ayers of Sullivan; four daughters two sons-in-law, Jessica Wilson of Sullivan, Glenda Rea of Rockville, Cheryl and Bob Kindschi of Logansport, and Peggy and Roland Muller of Seymour; two brothers, Jerry E. Wilson of Merom and Robert "Bob" Wilson of Elnora; four sisters, Mary Lutton of Muncie, Rejean Gilbreath of Cloverdale, Jewell Kolcheck of North Salem, and Linda K. Black of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, John Allen Wilson, and one grandson.
Funeral service will be at Alexander-Kean Funeral Home in Sullivan at 2 p.m. on Saturday with the Revs. Eddie Hammond and Leland Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery at New Lebanon.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
