Born April 23, 1902 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Otto and Fannie Hoesman.
She was a homemaker and the bookkeeper for her husband in the Burton Gravel Company in Graysville and Burton Farms. She was a member of Graysville United Methodist Church, St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rushville; and was a 50-year-plus member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Suzanne Isaacs of Connersville; one grandson, Richard Walker of Rushville; and two great-grandsons, Brian and Jared Isaacs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest A. Burton; one daughter, Jeanette Walker; and several sisters and brothers.
Funeral service will be at Alexander-Kean Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Curtis Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
