Nicholas Kent Rainey

Nicholas Kent Rainey, 18, of Washington, died at 4 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, in an automobile accident.

Born Jan. 30, 1985, in Washington, he was the son of Bradley and Michele (Buchheit) Rainey.

A 2003 Washington High School graduate, he was a student at Vincennes University. He was a member of Harvest Community Fellowship, Linked 180 Youth Group, Souled Out Ministries, and Teens for Life.

Survivors include his parents, Bradley and Michele Rainey; brothers, Nathanial L. Rainey and his wife Brandi of Washington, and Nolan B.V. Rainey of Washington; grandparents Garland Gentry and his wife Donna of Washington, Jack Rainey and his wife Linda of Bedford, and Linus Buchheit and his wife Bernetta of Washington; and great-grandparents, Virgil Rainey and his wife Ruth of Bedford.

Services were Sunday in the Washington High School Auditorium, with pastors Maury Brenneman and Dean Lengacher officiating. Burial was in Sugarland Memory Gardens.

Preferred memorials can be made to the Nick Rainey Memorial Fund which will be used to benefit the Powerhouse Souled Out Ministries and Daviess County Right to Life, P.O. Box 518, Washington, Ind., 47501.

Arrangements were handled through Gill Funeral Home of Washington.
