ODON ---- Mary Rebecca Sparks, 82, of Odon, died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Prairie Village Living Center in Washington.

Born Jan. 8, 1921, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Stephen and Mary A. Clemons Westhafer.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Odon First Christian Church and the Daviess County Homemakers Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia K. (Mrs. Berry) Lawhead of Odon; four sons, Ronald (Myrl) Sparks of Loogootee, Randall (Hilda) Sparks of Odon, Robin (Karen) Sparks of Odon and Roger (Lorei) Sparks of Bloomfield; a sister, Martha Lundy of Loogootee; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Sparks, and a son, Rodney Sparks.

Services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at Poindexter Hall McClure Funeral Home in Odon, with the Bro. Richard Crabtree officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today, and one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
