BLOOMFIELD ---- Inge L. Opel, 61, of Bloomfield, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Select Specialty Hospital in Bloomington.

Born July 23, 1942, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, she was the daughter of Karl and Marie Bohl Koenig.

She worked at RCA and GE in Bloomington, Angell's Food Center in Linton and was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Post 196 Auxiliary in Bloomfield.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Opel of Bloomfield; a son, Wayne Opel Jr. of Bloomington; three daughters, Dagmar Opel and Debbie Byers, both of Bloomfield, and Diane Hasler of Bloomington; a twin brother, Rudi Koenig of Germany; brother, Heinz Koenig of Germany; six grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope and Father Michael Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
