Elmer R. Griffith, 94, of Worthington, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Glenburn Home in Linton.

Born May 14, 1909, in Owen County, he was the son of Fred and Sarah (Landis) Griffith. He was a farmer all his life.

Survivors include two daughters, Doris Booth of Rossville, Ga., and Lois Fiscus of Worthington; two brothers, Clarence Griffith of Illinois and Richard Griffith of California; four grandchildren, David Lee of Bloomfield, Patty Chambers of Spencer, Michael Booth of Gainesville, Fla., and Carol Lamb of Rossville, Ga., and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pearl (Dayhoff) Griffith on Oct. 27, 1987; three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with Rev. Mel Camp officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery.
