Irvin Ray Earle

Irvin Ray Earle, 71, of Linton, died at his residence at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004.

Born May 6, 1932, in Linton, he was the son of Charles Earle and Salome Goodson Earle.

He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton, and was a retired electrician for the city of Linton.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wellington Earle; three sons, Darell Earle of Terre Haute, Irvin Ray Earle Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Linton and Randy Gene Earle and his wife, Katherine, of Bloomington; one daughter, Deborah Rae Earle of Linton; six brothers, Charles Earle Jr., Bob Earle, Herb Earle, Larry Earle and Mike Earle, all of Linton, and Morris Earle of Lyons; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Earle, and one great-grandson, Michael Wayne Simmons.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Friday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton with Pastor Dean Hartman and Pastor Warren Allen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger.
