Grace Ardella (Tarvin) Baird, 66, of Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at 1:27 p.m. in Bloomington Hospital.

Born April 2, 1937 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Ray and Hazel (Marshall) Tarvin. She was employed by Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington, but spent most of her life as a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Odon First Christian Church and attended the Scotland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Donald E. Baird of Bloomfield, whom she married on April 30, 1961; one daughter, Paula Baird of Bloomfield; two brothers, Carl Tarvin of Odon and Leroy Tarvin of Lapel; two sisters, Lucy Isabelle Eisenmann of Hurst, Texas, and Sherrill Wells of Loogootee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and one sister, Barbara Tarvin.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
