Thelma Faye Vest Lewis, 99 of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004 at 5:25 a.m. in Bloomington Hospital.

She was born in Greene County on Nov. 8, 1904 to Charles and Parsie Padgett Vest.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Corner Stone Bible Church in Spencer.

She is survived by one son Preston E. Lewis of Spencer; one brother Richard Vest of Duluth, Minn.; three grandchildren Sherry and David Lewis, Robbin and Jeff Cooper and Richard and Lois Lewis; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Preston Lewis on Sept. 3, 1978; one son Jack L. Lewis; three sisters; nine brothers; and her parents.

Visitation will be today from 4 -8 p.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
