BLOOMFIELD ---- Viola Cox, 76, of Bloomfield, died at 6:54 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Bloomington Hospital

Born April 14, 1927, in Keavy, Ky., she was the daughter of Willie A. and Elizabeth (Taylor) Sears.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Linton

Survivors include three daughters, Joan Mason of Indianapolis, Georgetta Webb of Bloomfield and Kathy Burger of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George F. Cox who died May 23, 1997; four brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 7 p.m. on Thursday at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with Rev. David Tyra officiating.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. There will also be services Saturday at the Bowling Funeral Home in London, Ky., with burial in Locust Grove Cemetery in London.
