Evelyn Swango, 87, of Worthington, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 at 7 p.m. in the Lyons Health and Living Center.

She was born in Greene County on May 19, 1916 to William and Ethal Casner Thompson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Living Faith Christian Church in Worthington.

She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Rash of Bloomfield; one son Norman Swango, Sullivan; one brother Ralph Thompson of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Q. Swango on June 1, 1991; one son David Swango; one sister Elizabeth VanMeter; one granddaughter Leilani Campbell; one infant son; and her parents.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Jim Olinger officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the funeral service.
