INDIANAPOLIS ---- Alice La Vonnie Uffman, 80, of Indianapolis and formerly of Linton, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at Indiana University Medical Center.

Born Sept. 23, 1923, in Anderson, she was the daughter of Frank Yunker and Charlette Neighbors Yunker.

She was a graduate of Anderson High School in Indianapolis. She was formerly employed with the United States Treasury Department and the Wal-Mart stores in Indianapolis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Linton and the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Lea Davis of Martinsville, Ind.; a sister, Betty Moore of New Castle; a brother, Jack Yunker of Anderson and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Morris Chapel Cemetery in Oaktown with the Rev. Robert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of service at McClure-Utt Funeral Home in Oaktown.
