FREELANDVILLE ---- Ruth B. Smallwood, 83, of Freelandville, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Feb. 8, 2004 at Freelandville Community Home.

She was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Rushville.

She cleaned office buildings in Indianapolis.

Survivors include two children, Marilyn Vansyoc of Carthage, Ind., and Linda Roberts of Sandborn; a brother, Alonzo Glore Jr. of Chandler, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ostrul Smallwood Jr.

Graveside service was 1 p.m. today at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends called 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre in Indianapolis.

Anderson-Poindexter Sandborn Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
