Myla Gaynell Eads, 85, formerly of Bloomfield and Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center.

Born May 3, 1918 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Alice (Cirgin) Davis.

She was a homemaker and the wife of the former Marion County Sheriff Lee Eads.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Eads; one daughter, Sonja Cookson of Bloomfield; two brothers, Joe Davis of Bloomington and John Davis of Titusville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Lauren Cookson, Elizabeth Yarger, Christine Schulthess, Shanin Cressy, Jeanine Mayne, Brian Cookson and Stephen Cookson; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Lenora Kennedy; two brothers, Jack Davis and Sylvester Davis, Jr.; and her parents.

Funeral services were March 20 at the Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Peggy Casteel officiating. Burial followed at Chambersville Cemetery.
