Jack J. Swiger, 52, of Carlisle, passed away at 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at his residence.

Born in Terre Haute July 19, 1951, he was the son of Woodrow and Helen Mae (Christy) Swiger.

He belonged to Local Union 204.

Survivors include, his wife Portia (Cox) Swiger; one son Gregory Swiger of Carlisle; two daughters, Cammie Griffith of Dugger and Carrie Inman of Worthington; four brothers, Tim Strange of Hymera, Paul Swiger of Florida, Mike Swiger of Florida and Harold Butch Swiger of Terre Haute; two sisters, Jane Cole of Hymera and Joan Ryan of Georgia; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service with burial will follow at a later date after cremation.
