Ethel H. Stalcup, 90, of Bloomfield, passed Thursday, April 15, 2004 at her residence.

Born Feb. 17, 1914 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Lee and Nelle Carrell Hains.

She was a homemaker; a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church, the Furnace Homemakers Club and Antioch Ladies' Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan S. Franklin of Bloomfield; a granddaughter, D'Lee Rush of McCordsville, Ind.; a grandson, Michael D. Franklin of Northville, Mich.; a sister, Mable Stone of Bloomfield; two great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Stalcup, who died Aug. 21, 1991; a son, Jay F. Stalcup, who died May 24, 1994; two brothers, Gilbert Hains and Ray Hains; and her parents.

Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today, and 10 a.m. on Tuesday until the hour of service.
