James R. McRae, Jr., 80, of Linton, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at 7:42 p.m. at Greene County General Hospital.

Born April 6, 1924 in Indianapolis, he was the son of James R. Sr. and Mary (Bales) McRae.

He was a self-employed brick and block mason, retired, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Linton.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Jean and Linda, both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Carl John McRae of Eucipa, Calif., and Wesley Edward McRae of Indianapolis; one sister, Evelyn Williams of Linton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McRae; two brothers; and his parents.

Graveside service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Arrangements are being made by Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
