Born Jan. 13, 1906 in Freedom, she was the daughter of Francis and Josephine (Bigger) Scott.
She was a homemaker and a cook at the Marathon Restaurant in Worthington for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Worthington and a life member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, Nylice Dayhoff of Worthington, Rosalie Cox of Worthington, and Frances Stovall of Cleveland, Ohio; four step-sons, Vance York of Zionsville, Don York of Florida, Robert York of Des Moines, Iowa, and Gary York of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Cooper, who passed away in 1972; her second husband Owen York, who passed away in 1996; two brothers, Charles Scott and Renos Scott; and her parents.
Funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with the Rev. Chris Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday.
