Brent W. Meeks, 43, of Dugger, passed away at his residence Saturday, May 22, 2004.

Born July 11, 1960 in Sullivan County, he was the son of James and Dorothy (Nichols) Meeks.

He was an Army veteran and was in the National Guard.

Survivors include, his mother Dorothy; one brother Floyd "Cokie" Meeks of Carlisle; an uncle Bill Nichols of Dugger; two nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister Peggy Jean King.

Private military graveside services will be Thursday with the Rev. Dan Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Dugger Cemetery.

Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger is in charge of arrangements.
