Bernice VanWinkle, 64, of Elnora and formerly of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on May 17, 2004 at her residence.

Born Aug. 29, 1939 in Greene County, she had been married to Howard Ray VanWinkle, who passed away in 1984.

Survivors include one brother, Charlie Vandeventer of Bloomfield; one sister, Gladys VanWinkle of Bloomfield, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Howard; one brother, Roy Vandeventer; and one sister, Ruth Vandeventer.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. at Solsberry Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Helms officiating.

There will be no public visitation.
