NEW ALBANY ---- Teddy Jay Rhodes, 47, of New Albany and formerly of Linton, passed away early Wednesday, May 12, 2004 unexpectedly at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.

Born Oct. 13, 1956 in Linton, he was the son of Vilas Delpha Rhodes and Rae Angelo Rhodes.

He attended the Linton-Stockton schools graduating with the class of 1974. He was also a graduate of Indiana State University and Southeastern Christian College. He was a member of the Summerville Church of Christ and was employed as a geographer at the United States Census Bureau.

Survivors are his wife Anita and their three daughters, Lisa, Amy and Rachel, all of New Albany; his parents of Dugger; and several other relatives and friends.

There was a memorial service Friday night at Cherry Street Church of Christ in New Albany where he was active in the work of the church.

Visitation was at Bryantsville Church of Christ near Bedford on Saturday with graveside services officiated by the Bro. Nick Marsh in the church cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Perry Mann Mortuary of Louisville, Ky.
