Minnie E. Ashcraft, 83, of Dugger, passed away at 8:53 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home in Linton.

Born May 11, 1921 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Jesse C. and Mary F. (Phipps) Mowery.

She was a member of Bible Holiness Church.

Survivors include: three daughters, Linda Sue Holbert and Carolyn Ruth Gambill both of Dugger, and Barbara Jo Alumbaugh of Shelburn; one brother Guy Mowery of Frankfort; one sister Martha Hulen of Bicknell; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James O. Ashcraft; three brothers, William Mowery, John Mowery and Vernal Mowery; three sisters, Eliza Chaney, Chlorine McCart and Anna Mowery.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. Mark Mowery officiating. Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, and before the service Friday.
