INDIANAPOLIS ---- Orvetta "May" Scheetz, 71, of Linton, passed away Friday, June 25, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 12, 1932 in Altoona, Pa., she was the daughter of Andrew and Orvetta (Weakland) Ketrow. She married Louie M. Scheetz, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of Whiteland VFW Women's Auxiliary Post 6978.

Survivors include: five daughters, Carol Lasiter and Nancy Fletcher, both of Linton, Cathy Harrelson of Corpus Christie, Texas, Diane Robinette of Greenwood, Cindy Dailey of Mooresville; two brothers, Harry Ketrow of Altoona, Pa., and Andy Ketrow of Whitehouse N.J.; two sisters, Betty Barnhill of Altoona, Pa., and Barbara DeLong of South Boundbrook, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie M. Scheetz, a son Edward C. Bumberger, Jr., and a brother John Ketrow.

Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. today at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin, Ind., with the Rev. Walter Howard officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to the time of service.
