Born Oct. 28, 1938 in Anderson, he was the son of Lewis and Elsie (Flory) Alumbaugh.
A U.S. Army veteran, he formerly worked as head of Human Resources of C.F. Industries of Bartow, Fla. and was an OHSA trainer for the Phosphate Mining Industry. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and the American Legion.
He is survived by one son, Bruce Alumbaugh, of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister Claudia "Dee" Niles, of Bartow, Fla.; as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, a niece and great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service was at 1 p.m. today at McClannahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Keith Pope officiating. Burial was in Claiborne Cemetery in Dugger
