Born July 15, 1931 in Beal, Ind., he was the son of John Samuel and Eva (Wolfe) Taylor.
He was a trucker driver and a barber. He was a veteran and belonged to American Legion Post 22, Teamsters Union Local 135 and VFW Post 1686.
Survivors include: one daughter Valerie Taylor of Monroe City; two sons, Tony and his wife Karen Taylor of Monroe City, and Dana and his wife Debbie Taylor of Monroe City; one step-son Scott and his wife Karen Henico of Linton; three grandchildren, Brittany and Kenzie Taylor of Monroe City, and Corey Taylor of Lawrenceville, Ill.; one step-granddaughter Holly Sollars of Newburgh; and one half sister Jessie Lehigh of Noblesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Stanley Taylor; one half brother Woodrow Taylor; one son Marc Taylor; one daughter Andrea Taylor and several half brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2 at Fairview Cemetery Linton with the Rev. William Reigle officiating. There will be military graveside rites. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
