Linda S. York, 50, of Linton, passed away at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 at her residence.

Born July 11, 1954 in Hazard Ky., she was the daughter of Taylor and Chloe (Begley) Asher.

She had been an electrician for Barth Electric at Indianapolis.

Survivors include: her companion Brad Loman of Linton; one daughter Tonya Powell of Indianapolis; one son Stanley Callahan of Brazil; five grandchildren; her mother Chloe Asher; three sisters, Gay Nell King, Jackie Haynes, and Doris Robertson, all of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Taylor Asher and David Asher, both of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with the Rev. James Wetzel officiating. Burial will be in Sassafras Cemetery.
