June Smith, 77, of Linton, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

Born Feb. 1, 1927 in Linton, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Nellie J. (Niton) Auberry. She married Charles W. (Wink) Smith on March 24, 1945.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Loyal Order of the Moose 500, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 22, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 393 of Indianapolis.

She is survived by a brother Woodrow Auberry of Warren, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, three brothers and one sister.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Fairview Cemetery with burial to follow.
