Ruby E. Adkins, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 27, 1930 in Springville, she was the daughter of Milford and Abbie Meldina (Neeley) Godsey.

She was retired and a member of Springville Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include: three sisters, Alma Botruff of Bedford, Elsie Banks of Bedford and Artie Workman of Bloomfield; and one brother Ivan Godsey of Bedford.

She was preceded in death by her husband Welden Adkins, her parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with the Rev. Wendell Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Springville Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service today at the funeral home.
