Fredia Payne, 83, of Linton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Linton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Sept. 5, 1920 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Fred and Hazel Houldson.

Survivors include: one son Danny Payne of Linton; one daughter Dianna of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur, and her parents.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Newkirk's Funeral Home, Dugger with the Rev. Bob Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
