Olive Lucille (Workman) Burkhart, 103, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004 at Glenburn Home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1901 in Greene County.

She retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company where she had been head operator. She was a member of Bloomfield Order of Eastern Star, Bloomfield Delts, Business Professional Women's Club and Bloomfield Odd Fellows Club.

Survivors include: a daughter-in-law Una Sherrard of Linton; two step grandchildren, Jerry McIntyre of Terre Haute and Jeff McIntyre of Bloomfield; two great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; three great-great grandsons; and two great-great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Henry Jack Sherrard, her second husband Harold Burkhart, a son Robert Sherrard and a sister Madge Flory.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow.

There will be no public visitation.
