Joyce Rae Pruett, 78, of Coal City, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born May 13, 1926 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Otto and Irene (Cullison) Moreland.

She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Worthington.

Survivors include: three sons, Kenneth and his wife Annetta Pruett of Coal City, Gerald and his wife Debbie Pruett of Worthington, and James Rick and his wife Kathy Pruett of Bloomfield; one daughter Resa and her husband Frank Hamilton of Coal City; one sister Carol Reed of Coal City; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James W. Pruett, who passed away April 29, 2001, a sister June Bredeweg and a brother Merle Moreland.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with the Bro. Terry Dowell officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
