Harry Dillon Crooke, 93, formerly of Worthington, passed away Aug. 26, 2004. He had been a resident of Daphne, Ala., for the past four years.

He was born to John Boyd and Margaret (Moore) Crooke on Feb. 13, 1911 in Newberry. His wife was Allegra (Dyer) Crooke, who preceded him in death in 2000.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Worthington and a Mason for 61 years.

Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law John and Linda (Roudebush) Crooke of Daphne, Ala.; grandchildren, Amber (David) Reimensnyder of Bridgeville, Pa., and Austen Crooke of Spanish Fort, Ala.; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Treva Sheetz, Doris Shoptaw, Bonnie Hasler, Farol Crooke, and Cecil Holmes; and two grandchildren, Jon Boyd and Joel Bernard Crooke.

A memorial service will be conducted at the first Baptist Church in Worthington on Oct. 9, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. for friends and family.
