Edward Lee Spurgeon, 74, of Bloomfield, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2004 at Paoli Health & Living Community.

Born June 12, 1930 in Linton, he was the son of Carl and Verna (Christy) Spurgeon. He married Patricia Ruth Porter in 1969.

He was a member of Gethsemane Tabernacle in Bloomfield.

Survivors include: his wife Patricia Ruth Spurgeon of Linton; a sister Mable Holt of Shoals; two nieces, Linda Kaiser of Bedford and Karen Terwiske of Jasper; and two nephews, Norman Holt and Jimmy Holt, both of Shoals.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
