He was retired as a coremaker at Linkbelt.

Survivors include: a daughter Faye Lacey; two sons, Tony Rice and David Rice; a step-daughter Linda Carnes; a sister Zona Hensley; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were Friday at Conkle Funeral Home, Hendricks County Chapel, Avon with burial in the Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
