Glenn Lyrel Seaton, 71, of Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 at Health Park Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla.

Born April 2, 1933 in Crawford County, he was the son of Basil L. and Sarah Emily (Murphey) Seaton. He was married to Marlena (Gayer) Seaton.

He was a plant manager for United Technologies Automotive Division in Zanesville, Ohio. He was a member of McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myers and the Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis.

Survivors include: his wife Marlena Seaton of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Sandra Bardes of New Palestine and Peggy McGuffey of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Bradley Seaton of New Palestine and David Seaton of Bloomington; two brothers, Leland Seaton of New Palestine and J. Royden Seaton of Shelbyville; one sister ArrahWanna Thomas of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Mark Seaton, who passed away in 2001.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
