Born Feb. 3, 1927 in Hymera, he was the son of Orval and Ethel (Gouckenour) Exline. He married Ruth Exline on Sept. 16, 1955.
He was a retired performance technician at the Breed Power Plant. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Hymera American Legion Post 298 and Hymera Masonic Lodge 588 F&AM.
Survivors include: his wife Ruth Exline of Jasonville; one daughter and son-in-law Susan and Bert Utterback of Jasonville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Teresa Exline of Sullivan, Greg and DeeAnn Exline of Bloomfield, and Jeff and Alisa Exline of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Mike Exline and companion, Greta Pennington, Crystal Exline, Jared Utterback, Tyler Utterback, Jackie Exline and Jessie Exline; two step-grandchildren, Susan Franklin and Eric Franklin; and two step-great-grandchildren, Steven Franklin and Sierra Pitcher.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville with Pastor Carl Leth and Pastor Paul McGlasson officiating. Burial will be at K of P Cemetery, Hymera.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
