Ruby Maxine Edwards, 77, of Spencer and formerly of Linton, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born March 30, 1927 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Lester D. and Eva D. (Bedwell) Wright. She had been married to Carl Edwards, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: a daughter, Sandra and her husband Max Wood of Spencer; a sister, Doris Phipps of Hymera; four grandchildren, Jim Farmer of Spencer, Jeremy Farmer of Cloverdale, Megan Wood of Spencer, and Casandra Wood of Spencer; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Edwards, and two sisters, Berneta Mason and Margie Mobley.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Pastor Richard Poff officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and after 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
