"Pete" Lawrence Marion White, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at his residence.

Born May 27, 1929 in Greene County, he was the son of Hugh Herbert and Helen (Dowden) White. He was married to Sara (Cunningham) White.

He was an Army-Air Force veteran. He retired from RCA, where he was a manager. He was a member of the American Legion in Bloomington and the Clear Creek Christian Church in Bloomington.

He is survived by his wife Sara (Cunningham) White of Bloomington; one daughter Tracy and husband Tracy Allen Shepherd of Nashville; three grandchildren, Ashley Shepherd of Nashville, Justin Shepherd of Nashville, and Jacob Shepherd of Nashville. He is also survived by one daughter, Julie Hinkle of Washington; one grandson Kevin White; one son Allan "Cork" White of Elnora; one grandson Harold White; and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Hugh "Mick" White and William White.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield with Glenn Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield with American Legion holding services at the cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
