Rita June (Griffith) Grodotzke, 55, of Nederland, Texas, and formerly of Jasonville, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at Park Place Medical Center, Port Arthur, Texas.

Born Nov. 28, 1949 in Linton, she was the daughter of Cale "Snapper" Griffith Jr. and Norma June (Wools) Griffith West.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband Thomas H. Grodotzke, whom she married May 29, 1981, of Nederland, Texas; her step-father and his wife Woodrow "Woody" and Gertrude West of Fruitland Park, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara and Frank Fish of Frankfort, and Kelly and Timothy Roth of Northbabylon, N.Y.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Amy Grodotzke of Frankfort, Thomas "TS" and Amber Grodotzke Jr. of Mifflenburg, Pa., Daniel Grodotzke of Nederland, Texas, and Michael Grodotzke of Nederland, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law Wanda and Tom Miller of Jasonville; a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Nan West of Jasonville; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Cale "Sonny" Griffith.

Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville, with Pastor Brad West officiating.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
