Born Dec. 18, 1918 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of John and Allie Mae Wilson. She had been married to Virgil Hardesty, who passed away in 1992.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary Hardesty and his wife Karen, and Rod Hardesty and his wife Shirley, all of Bloomington; a daughter Connie Spurgeon and her husband Don of Brownsburg; one sister Margaret Hampton of Brownsburg; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Hardesty; her parents; two brothers, Martin Wilson and Russell Wilson; three sisters, Edith Hildenbrand, Irene Isabel and Opal Abrahms; and one daughter-in-law Jeanette (Kinney) Hardesty.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. Rod Hardesty officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, and before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
