Danny F. Burris, 54, of Jasonville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 in rural Sullivan County.

Born July 5, 1950 in Linton, he was the son of James H. and Wanda Raley Burris. On May 15, 1995 he married Carol Jean Rifenburg Burris.

He was a disabled Vietnam Army veteran and a member of Knightsville Masonic Lodge F&AM. He was a lifetime member of the Clay City VFW Post.

Survivors include: his wife Carol Jean Burris of Jasonville; a step-son and daughter-in-law Jim and Cindy Anton of Centenial, Colo.; a step-son David Anton of Bullhead, Ariz; a step-grandson Cole Anton of Centenial, Colo.; two step-granddaughters, Cameron Anton of Centenial, Colo., and Nikki Anton of Bullhead, Ariz.; one brother John I. Burris of Shelburn; and an aunt Betty Duncan of Clay City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be at noon Thursday at the fire station in Coalmont with military honors being conducted by the Clay City VFW Post.
